Lepiota cristata

NOME COMUNE: Mazza di tamburo crestata
CAPPELLO:
2-5 cm, chiuso, conico, poi aperto e disteso con umbone a macchia centrala, da bruno-rosa a ocra-rossastra, liscia; il resto del cappello è rotto in scaglie irregolari a sfondo bianco.
LAMELLE:
fitte, libere, ventricose, bianche o giallastre, fioccose al margine.
GAMBO:
5-6×0,3-0,4 cm, esile, cilindrico, cavo, bianco, tinteggiato di rosa alla base, munito di un vistoso, fragile e fugace anello.
CARNE:
bianca, odore quasi di frutta oppure sgradevole come quello degli Scleroderma.
SPORE:
bianche in massa, a forma di triangolo scaleno, 6-8×3 μ.
HABITAT:
nei boschi e luoghi erbosi, gregaria.
SPECIE SIMILI:
L. lilacea, molto velenoso, è assai più raro; ha forma simile ma i colori vanno dal porpora al porpora-marrone.
